Donations to St Clements Institute
St Clements Institute is a non government higher education institution located in Cambodia.
Of Cambodia's 14.4 million people, half are under age 22 - and so there is a burgeoning school age population. Education statistics are improving dramatically but are still very low by world standards.
Education makes up a small part of the Government annual spend, and the problem is that in absolute terms, this expenditure is very low. Just 1.6% of Cambodia's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) according to UNESCO is spent on education - ranking around 170th in the world. Most western countries spend around 5.5% to 6.4% of GDP on education.
It is obviously important in a place like Cambodia where income levels are low, that education is affordable, so that it can be accessed by those who need it rather then simply those who can afford it.
We would llike to invite you to become a Friend of St Clements Institute or Sponsor, if you would like to help us offer more education opportunities to students in Cambodia.

We strongly believe that a good education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and can create a better future for children and their families.
When we invite you to sponsor a student, we are inviting you to invest in the future of Cambodia, one child at a time.
Sponsor an Individual Student
How Sponsorship works
For each student in the program we provide
- Cost of enrollment fees and school materials
- Regular monitoring of school grades
- General educational support, including provision of tutoring classes to students in need
We encourage engagement between students and sponsors
One of the most rewarding aspects of sponsoring a student is getting to know students personally, and see firsthand how your generosity can positively affect the student's and their family’s lives.
We will
- Send you updates on your student’s school progress
- Facilitate correspondence with your sponsored students through letter writing
- Invite you to travel to Cambodia and meet your student and their family
for $300 you can sponsor a student for one semester
for $600 you can sponsor a student for an entire year
for $1200 you can sponsor an Associate degree student through their entire p2 year program
for $2400 you can sponsor a Bachelor Student through their entire 4 year progrm all the way to graduation.
Fellow Sponsor of St Clements Institute
Donations of $5,000 + will become Fellow Sponsors of St Clements Institute
Fellow sponsors will be given the status of senior lecturing staff at any of the SCI events such as the graduation convocation.
